I tried a few different things for shits and giggles and heres what I figured out.
The otc7928 tool works great for removing the factory springs, but like to slip off the new springs due to the high pressure of the new springs. It also made it hard to put the keepers back in bc the limited amount of room. I also have the second and 3rd ones down on this page the second one down was a pain in the ass to use bc the big handles kept getting in the way. The 3rd one would work great but instead of the metal thing on the top that you turn to compress/uncompress the spring it would be nice to have a bolt head that you can just turn by wrench or ratchet/socket. In the end what worked best for installing the springs was a simple basic regular ole valve spring compressor. For removing the springs, removing the rockers, and installing the rockers the otc 7928 worked best. |
