Do yourself a big ass favor and ditch the BBK valve covers. Yes I said ditch those big ass valve covers.

First, those little metal shims you have to install are a pain in the ass, and you have one slip, it could possibly end up in one of the oil drain holes in the heads.

Second, those valve cover gaskets will begin to leak. Guess what you'll be doing the same shit again to replace those gaskets to stop the leak.

Third, send those POS valve covers back and buy something different.

I finally shit canned my BBK and bought some Trick Flow valve covers. Guess what, they use OEM gaskets, no metal shims, and fit like a glove and plenty of clearance. I will never use another BBK product in my life, they are junk in my opinion.

Good luck with the install, I promise you will be doing it all again within a year or less.
