275 on stock?? i wouldnt do it but it would work...personally i'd advise against it... get wider wheels for wider tires and you know your safe...

ugh, you CAN fit 275s on a stock rim, but its like fat women in skimpy clothes, just because it fits, doesnt mean they should wear it b/c it looks awful. good rule of thumb, stock rims stick with 245s, for 17x9s stick with 275s, and 17x10.5s stick with 315s. and there is no shame in running stock rims with 245s, id rather have stock rims with some bf-g 245s than 17x10.5s with sumitomo's.

Cameros are ugly IMO besides the 1st generation.
Rather have the Mustang hands down

say's the jerk off that dosent even know what his car runs (or is afraid to say). before you start running you mouth you should do some research as most new edge car are in the 13's without major mod's/fi. this car is an every weekend bracket car (300 + passes a year on average) & while it would be ok to got fi/nitrous neither are very good if you race you ever weekend & want to stay compeditive (ie. point's/etc). also I dont have 2k in eng. mod's I have 0, all my mod's (prob. less than 2k anyway) are supporting mod's. never even had the valve covers off. BS dyno# & wanna-be race cars that put down a fast pass but cant do it back to back every weekend are for looser's & ricers. that being said is the purpose of my first post in this thread, very few f-body's can hold together over the long haul due to retarded susp design, rears that belong in go cart's, flisy bodies, etc, etc, & while they may be faster initially (ie. stock vs. stock) that goes away very quickly.

Not everyone likes to bracket race buddy. Some people just like to see how fast they can go on a budget. Neither cars are made from the factory to be a 100% track car. But I have owned both a Camaro and now a Mustang, and I can tell you that you are wrong. My Camaro was never really fast, but I had several friends that raced their Camaro every weekend running 11.40's with just bolt-ons and also carried daily driver duties. The rear in the F-bodies are certainly trash but I will tell you, where the Mustang performs well, the Camaro doesn't and vis-versa. Except for the rear-end, they are just as track ready as your car. Moral of the story, buy what suits you best. BTW: Mustang auto's dim in comparison the the 4l60e's. So....pick your poisen. Last edited by RAGEman; March 14th, 2009 at 12:24 PM. |
