Sputtering 03 gt

Hey guys my friends stang at idle sounds like it's missing, or like sputters. It doesent seem like it's going to die,idles strong but with the sputter and sounds like it's backfireing slightly. About 60,000 miles on it and it's not throwing a codewhat could it be?

Just like baker said check the cops and plugs. Clean the iac and maf while youre at it too.

does he have an o/r midpipe? seems like a few cars i have seen (including mine) with a o/r midpipe kinda hiccup sometimes

"cops" are the those guys in the cars with the lights up top that always come and ruin the fun!

Mine does that too... It runs just fine though, so I don't think much of it. Hell people saying it could be exhaust makes me feel better for just ignoring it.
