315 tires stock?

Can I throw a 315 tire on my car without modifying anything? I know it wont fit the stock rim, but if I had a 10inch rim, would it all fit fine?

Whatever, 10, 10.5, its all the same. I was looking at these as I am very fond of black cobras on dsg stangs. I am just curious about it all fitting right.

No, 295/305 are for 10's. You can fit a 315 on a 10, but 10.5 is best way to go if possible.

I was told that the largest that would fit my 10.5 was a 315 so how would it fit a 10

Theres someone on here wit a bullit that has i think 335's on a 10inch wide wheel with no problems.. Some people run 315's on a 9 inch wheel its not the smartest nor does it actually use the whole tire but it can be done.. I dont think you will have a problem running a 315 on a 10inch wheel

With a 17'' wheel depending on the aspect ratio you should be fine..

I have 315's on my stock 9" cobra wheels.

There was another thread about this like two days ago. Look it up. It should tell you what you need to know.

i run 275s on an 8" wheel and there is some sidewall buldge but nothing too crazy, imo 315 def way to go, even 275's look small on the ass end of the stangs

Yes, with the correct backspacing.

I personally wouldn't recommend a 315 for anything less than 10.5". Sure you can put a 315 on a 9" wheel if you want, but whats the point? It is just going to bulge, not look any wider from further away, and probably have less traction.

It's not just the sidewall bulge, but the actual tire tread will bulge, leading to less contact patch, uneven wear (centers of tread wears before outside), etc.
