F#*% Magnaflow

so i installed my UPR O/R x-pipe and Magnapack cat-back on friday and it wont go together right. so i f around for awile and decide to cut the left inlet pipe for the muffler. the inlets are supposed to be different lengths to make up for the midpipe. well i got two the same size. i cut it and forced it together. now my loop hits the axle. had to fix that with a BFH. and also clears gas tank by a pubic hair , but its together. got everything tight and started it. IT SOUNDS AWESOME.

my bitch is i called magnflow and they told me i can buy the pipe that came wrong or call who i bought it from (summit) and see if their magnaflow rep could help me. that magnaflow rep said he would sell me a whole new cat-back at a discount. WTF doesnt anyone take responsability for their mistakes.

it will be along time if ever i will buy a magnaflow product. sorry just needed to vent. also wanted to make you guys aware and see if anyone else had a similar problem.

So you got the wrong part, but cut it and made it fit with a BFH. Then you called, and there's your bitch... You wanted them to take the part back you cut and beat with a BFH? Wait, that's putting words in your mouth... What did you want?

Next time calm down and take a breather and assess the situation before you cut and hack. Sometimes parts can be persuaded to fit, but be assured you own them when you do. I've got some "wrong" parts upstairs, but they never went on my bike and the correct stuff is on the way.

Who said he beat the pipe etc before calling? Looks to me its just the way he phrased it. He first decided to tell us that he beat it to fit etc, then he said he had called about getting the right part. Would be a bit different if he said "i forced it to fit and then I called and asked to get a replacement".

NO TIMBER is right. i did it backwards. it was late and i couldnt leave the car where i was so i made it fit the best i could to get it home. i DIDNT call til after i beat on it. im just surprised magnaflow didnt help me out alittle. i have bought things and found parts missing and got the part with no problems. i just expected better service from such a big company. thx for the defense though AJM
