3.20 p1sc pulley question

Hey guys my name is adrian and I'm new to the site,

I've recently bought a p1sc procharger kit with a 3core intercooler setup. The kit came with a 3.2 size pulley.

I was wondering on your opinions of running this pulley on a fairly stock 02 gt, all it has done is a flow master catback and midpipe
What kind of psi do you think it would be making around? 10-12psi?

Do you think I'd blow the motor or would I be ok? And would it be possible to get some
what of a conservative tune for the car when I get it dynoed to reduce the risk of detonating?

Specs on my setup to help w questions:
42lbs injectors, 90mm lmaf, tr6 plugs, 3core intercooler, focus fuel pump

Thanks for your time and help guys, lovin the forum btw

i have a p1sc with a 3 core and it reached 10psi at redline with a 3.85" stock pulley. the 3 core adds a couple psi over the stock 2 core, or at least thats what i've learned because the guys around here with the 2 core and stock pulley are making around 8.

Adrian, Your supporting mods for the supercharger are almost identical to mine. i have the focus pump, 90mm maf, 42's, and p1sc with the 3 core. i wouldn't run that pulley if i were you, it could put too much stress on your motor. with some better flowing exhaust that pulley will put you well over 400rwhp. you may need a MAFia for that maf but i'd do a dyno run and see how it does before you buy one. if you do need it, most dyno shops will have mafia's in stock.

yea that pulley is way to smaller.. and i dont think you would want to spin a p1 that hard andway... get a 3.6 and it will have you at about 13 lbs

thanks a lot for the replys guys, wow i thought the 3 core would actually lower the boost instead of increasing it, i guess i was wrong

then again its better to be safe then sorry, i rather pay the extra cash for a new pulley then blow my motor....in which im definitely not feeling like rebuilding at the moment haha.

i was thinking the 3.60 pulley. what are your opinions, shoudl i get a procharger one or a Reichard racing pulley?

also, i have a GTR-4061080 Belt Gatorback Poly-V Serpentine 6-Rib 108 already, would i have to replace this since im moving up in pulley size? what size would you guys recommend, thanks for the info once again!

hmm thats a good question. i guess you can just see how much slack is in your tensioner. as long as its tight and pulling the belt good and hard you should be able to keep using that belt. if the tensioner is less than a couple inches from being all the way loose i'd go to a shorter belt

or you could trade me intercoolers!

Hell, I'll send you a 3.0 pulley with the 2 core.

But yea agreed with bob on this one. I think that pulley will put you a little high, however, you could always have the tuner run a very conservative tune on it.
