Holy Crap...

Alright this is ... so stupid. Sometimes I don't know why I trust myself with my car.

Alright, so I am coming down 460 (a highway near me, major interstate kinda deal) and I am flying down doing about 70 in a 55. Normal. Well I see a cop up around the corner, rador going, well he's facing the other way luckily so I slam it down and slow. About 6 feet up some guy pulled over by another cop in a charger. Well, on my way back... the two cops are still there.

I had forgot where they were and misjudged, straight around the corner. 86. He totally clocked me, and was getting ready to pull out but it was across a highway and there was no turn around so... instead of pursuing he got ready to and just quit. So i flew off the exit and turned around, took an alternate route home. Never got busted. He didn't get my tags either.

Luckily.

In this state, that would have been Wreckless Driving and mad points.

Yeah lol I just got home from Lynchburg, 460 for about 30 miles both ways.

I was keeping with traffic, 5 over. When it drops to 45 for a mile stretch EVERYONE kept their speed. I slammed down and did 45.

People looked at me like what the hell? A mustang? Doing 45 in a 45? Wait, a mustang doing 45 period?

Similar thing happened to me except I was doing around 90 at 3:30 am coming home from a club. The cop was sitting in a ditch and it had rained earlier so he had a little trouble getting out. He had to wait for a few cars to go by so I floored it. Next exit I hit my lights and drifted up the off ramp. I sat on the over pass with my lights out until he went by then took back roads home. I thought it was fun, but then again I drove with a revoked license for about 3 1/2 years until my wife helped me get a lawyer to settle my 12 tickets. I guess I'm a bad influence.

I have a similar story. I passed a trooper on a back road while testing some of my new mods. I was at 145 when I passed him and I kept going. I saw him turn around in my rear view mirror so I kept going. I came to the end of the road which was a T and tried to slide into the turn through the stop sign and when I started sliding I hit the gas and I completely forgot that my traction control was on and I just kept sliding across the street into the ditch. Hence the new body kit and paint job on my car. Little did I know the cop that was chasing me was a family friend and just laughed at me when he got there. Just something to learn from now.

i jumped a stop sign the other day, it was dark and it was a four way stop. Cop was to the left of me. I went straight did a uturn up a dif row in the parking lot. Turned off the lights ducked down, turned the car off he drives by and keeps going. After i stop myself from having a heartattack i say my hailmarys and continue on. Was kinda sweet i must say.

All the inlets on our highways have obvious signs that say "authorized vehicles only" i speed up to about 95-100 and drop to about 75 when i come up on them. Works everytime.

Yeah, awesome stories guys. So you know what I am talking about? It's like this insane awesome rush, not the usual racing or speed addiction. Hard to explain.

But damn, I might be a little more careful now.

Yeah anything over 80 is reckless driving in VA...

I got a ticket for 81 in a 65...Got hit with reckless driving but got it knocked down to 14 over...

The person that went up to the judge before me got 84 in a 65 and the reckless driving stuck with her...She got charged for whole shabang...

Gotta watch your speed bro...

Yeah it sucks now because NYS now has a law that there are no deals to be made on tickets given by state troopers. If you get 80 in a 55 you get charged with exactly that. They're trying to cut down overtime for troopers that have to spend entire days in traffic court. It's good to have friends that can pull the ticket before it gets to court. :wink

I hope everybody's running radar detectors. I got one off ebay, I'm still waiting for it to get here. While I was waiting, I logged on the Passport website and ordered a regular cord so I can hard-wire it and hide the line so I won't have to look at the coily cord daily.

Anyway, yesterday afternoon after I got my CAI on I had to go try it out. I hit the interstate romping all the way through second and third, man the car sounds good now! Anyway I notice I'm well into triple digits so I got on the brakes quick and brought it back down to seventy. And passed a cop in the median less than 1/4 mile later. Guess I won't be doing that again until the radar detector gets here.

I'm going to be taking my car to the track some, radar detector or not, eventually it'll catch up with me if I get all my thrills on the street.

if you ever go to court over speeding, check their records on calibrating the detector. If it isnt calibrated every 6 months they will throw your ticket out saying it was a bad read.

Most places calibrate the radar at the beginning and end of every shift...

Radar Detectors are illegal in some states...i.e. Virginia...
