Electrical help!

im putting the the boost gauge today (i know ive asked a lot)
all went well except when im doing the back lights on the gauge.

i have a add a circuit and i plug it in the #37 fuse (dash lights)

when i plug it in the light on the gauge works but the dash lights wont.
ive tried different fuse. ive directly plugged in the gauge with out the add a circuit and same thing happens.

here is them both off

here is when the boost gauge is connected with the add a circuit

here is when only the dash is connected

and here is how i connected the 12v and ground of the boost gauge in the fuse box

any tips?

bad connection or fuse in the add-a circuit, Dumb ?, do you have 2 fuses in the add a circuit?

do you have the light switch pulled out? the fuse should have constant power

not sure on exact set up, but i am willing to pitch an idea. the gage cluster should have its own hook up, like in the 3rd pic. if thats the way its suppose to be, then leave it like that. the boost gage, hook up on its own wiring. run a ground independant, hook power to 12+ accessory wire from main harness, and dimmer off the switch if applicable.

the wire to radio is not a dimming wire, use that wire if you want the guage light to come on with headlights and that wire is located above your right
knee behind/under dash.(light blue/red stripe) It was easiest to acess. if you want to dim, then splice into back of headlight switch(dark blue with white stripe)

the accessory wire is off the main harness that comes from the column. i amtrying to find my wire diagrams to get color. you can run the dimmer off the switch, i think its the white wire if i remember right.

still put a test light on the "to get" list. They are cheap and you would have found your problem quickly
