gas mileage

so i drove in my buddys 89 lx 5.0 and he has 3:73 gears and was not really impressed so i was thinking about getting 4:10's for my 04 gt automatic now how much gas mileage and im looking at loosing if any (if im not gettin on it all the time just regular driving) im also gettin a tuner

Im pretty sure the 5.0 has slightly different tranny gears so the "effect" of the steeper gear is prolly different. I think most guys with auto go with 4.30's usually right?

If you drive 500-600 miles per week you worry a little about gas mileage. When gas hit $4.25 per gallon it severely impacted my family's budget.

That is a long drive on a weekend. I'm surprised you got a pass to go that far. (Of course I've been out of the service for many years.)

, glad to do it,

i would drive from san diego to lemoore every weekend, thats 644 round trip and then whatever driving i did while in lemoore

I've been to Lemoore several times. My wife is from Visalia. I've been stationed at both Castle AFB (now closed) and Vandenberg.

yea thats true he has a tko 500 tranny i think thats what its called

this is my daily for right now but once i get another car i'm planning on going w/ 4:56's but i'm just crazy like that!
