The stock shifter is like a damn tractor trailer shifter. Just wait til' you drive a stang with an aftermarket short throw and you'll shit your pants at the difference. TRUST ME

I would certainly recommend full-length weld-in sub-frame co-nnectors (< couldn't resist that last one ). UCA's/LCA's are a must and poly/poly solid ones would be fine. I think it would be better to get adjustable ones so you can address pinion angle and center axle if you end up going high HP and larger tires out back. If you want MUCH better performance on the corners, get some poly/spherical UCA's/LCA's instead. Wont be much difference in NVH, but for the twisties, solid poly/poly ones are worse than stock in some ways

I am not a 1/4 guy, so some may "tweak" my recommendations and that is just fine

^

A 275 is WAY too large for an 8" wheel. I am not saying it wont fit, but it is a VERY poor one and degrade your cornering. I would not go over a 245 in an 8" wheel, maybe a 255, but no more than that.

Jazzer

PS. A higer-profile DR for the strip is a bit of a differnent matter and will defer to those who 1/4 only these tires.

Get the MGW and tires. I vote for fun factor. The MGW is perfect!

american muscle w/ the moddedmustang discount cost $320 for 275/40/17 and they are not too big for a 8" tire. i'll post pics of mine later on but it's raining today.

Just got my LCA's on today! they feel great. I've decided to get drag radials this friday, just not sure which size yet, 255 or 275. i'm leaning more towards 255 right now, as i don't want them to bulge a lot. i drag race around town and hit the track every 2 weeks-ish but this is still a daily driver for me.

actually, vinyl strips look terrible too imo. i don't think it's gonna look good if i spend that little money on it, the spray with clearcoat looks flat, the vinyl strips look flat as well, i want a shiny, clear, nice black finish. like these:
