Can't decide on what to get next...again!
So I'm about to spend about $500 on my car, and I'm really lost as to what I should get. I want to eventually get a set of 18x9 and 18x10 chrome saleens, but that + tires = super expensive so im not sure when I'll do that. My current mods are:
3:73's diablosport predator JLT CAI pypes o/r x, mac flowpaths koni springs kenny brown rear lower control arms, installing later this week 1. Buy full set of rims, then save up for tires slowly. (I would most likely get drag radials in the back. if they're not too pricey) 2. Buy tons of other stuff like: 2x 275 555R's for the back, then id delay on new rims n tires MGW shifter TB/Plenum black LED 3rd brake light black floormats with GT emblems smoked tail lights possibly alum driveshaft or subframe connectors what should i do?!?! |

lack of cash and 18's is not a good mix for starters lol 18" tires are pretty damn pricey...especially when you get into drag radials and what not. get the mgw, and a plenum/tb combo and call it a day for now

Oh one last question i forgot! with my stock 17x8 bullits...if i decided to get drag radials for the back (i might have to get 2 new tires anyway, might be a hole in one tire) which size would i want? 255's or 275's on my 17x8?

like mentioned about get the shifter and the tb/plenum and then just save for your rims and tires setup. it will drive you crazy looking at the tires or just wheels sitting there everyday

you could do some 275 nitto DR's and they'd fit fine.

Well in that case wouldn't 2x 555r's help more than a shifter or tb/plenum? 255's are $127 each, 275 are $170, so that wudnt be very expensive. also, my biggest problem is launching by far. i have no problem shifting and my shifts are on time and i have a shift light lol, its just my launch. and i also want my car to look nice lol

Smoke the tail lights and 3rd brake light and save up for the wheels and tires. Then subframe connectors and shifter. The tb and plenum don't help at all and no one ever sees the mats.

Smoking them myself will look like crap tho, i'd probably buy some off ebay for $150 ish + shipping. they're real clean looking, shiny black, not flat black. sanded and clearcoated.

+3 (or is it 4 now?) For $500, I'd be looking at a short throw shifter with positive stops ($200) and full-length, welded-in subframe connectors ($150 + install).
