does anyone have an idea where i could get one, or a website with instructions on how to make a good one?

one that does not mount to a roll cage..

Depends on what kind of camera you have. I've seen people bungee cord them to the passenger seat headrest.

I bought one of the Hero camera setups. Comes with everything you need to mount it anywhere.

i installed a bad ass camera system into this guys 800 some odd horsepower viper a while back which was bad ass! but it mounted to the roll cage.....by the way nice avatar mp cobra fan lol im glad im not the only one who thought that

They are great setups. I was able to pick it up for really cheap $130. I have not got a chance to use it yet. I wanted to use it this weekend at Fun Ford, but can not go anymore. Maybe next weekend I will get some video up with it.

I mounted mine on a tripod and used ratchet straps to hold it to the seat. Hears a video, at the end I have a picture of how it's mounted.
