Yeah, especially when they actually have a decent amount....or at least a basic understanding of mechanical work.

That's where I run into issues. I have like...one friend that knows some stuff about cars, so I gotta try to do everything myself. Well, when he's unavailable of course.

Thanks for the help. Now I need to find someone who does that type of work here in Lexington/Columbia. I just bought it, and they had a top put on it recently. So that may be the issue.

thats pretty much how i learned to fuck with everything. having one good friend who knew what he was doing, and watching him all the time

so, i've been twiddling around with the car seeing that it's nice out, and i've discovered a few of the reasons as why this was happening.....

1. my top used to close and then would stop closing about a half inch before it got to the windshield frame. now it wants to keep going.
i temporarily solved this problem by not closing the top all the way, and leaving that half inch there, and then pulling it down. every once in a while the glass will catch on the fabric of the top, but no longer the frame. this leads me too....
2. my top is not as taught as my old top. when u open and close the doors it poofs up in a wave instead of one big poof.

so i'm pretty sure the solution to problem 1 is figuring out y the fuck my top doesn't stop...... any suggestion will receive rep and imaginary "e" head on the spot

and problem 2 might be a little more complicated...... it seems as if i need to tighten everything up.... but i don kno how... similar rewards offered

I have the same not sealing prob for both windows, and cant figure it out, I have torn my doors apart and adjusted the windows and not solved it. however I adjusted my drivers side to the point i thought fixed and actually pulled the window out of the metal bracket thats in the regulator, so i can only get and inch down now before the whole system jams up and stops, so id suggest not rying to adjust them much. I even tryed adjusting the quarter windows to help, turns out they cant be adjusted. I am going to replace my top this summer (already have it here) I was hoping that might solve the issue. mine is still factory stock. also a 99, so Im hoping to hear other ideas in this thread on it, so lets try to keep it alive.

does it not seal correctly when both doors are open and you try to shut one?

Ya know every time I say I dont have that problem, I end up with the fucking problem a week later. so I am just not going to say it anymore. My window actually seats correctly....but sometimes, i see it looks a little off. A couple roll ups and downs and its good to go.
