My passenger window doesn't fully seal, when I close the door the window catches the top and kicks out. If you keep your hand on the glass and close it it's fine as far as not catching, but still doesn't completely seal up. Anyone have this problem before?

nope. maybe it has falling off the track or twisted up. is the molding around the door torn up any? got a pic of it?

I don't have a pic, but I'll get one when it stops raining. The molding seems fine.

I don't know if it's that it's up to high or if it's coming up and slightly out

i would take the door panle off and start looking in there. that's probably were you issue is

my window was catching my top also,same as yours but not as bad. Since mine was under warrenty at the time I took it to the dealer and they adjusted the window, The even replaced my top!

It may not be the window. It may be more the way the top is seated. +1 on checking the trim and seal around the top where the window seats.

i didn't see it was a convertible. i......... /fail

My vert did the same thing. It was consistent on the drivers side, but intermittent on the passenger. I asked this same question, and I can't remember who, told me to check the staples in the convertible top. That they had heard of them loosening a little, and the top sagging. If you have a place close that does tops like that, just have them check it out. I never did get mine fixed, but the more I messed with stuff, I kinda narrowed it down to the convertible top shifting side to side or sagging a little.

it's mos def the top. mine didn't start acting up until i swapped mine. windows can only go up so far.

a tip for the op. close the passenger side door first, then roll the window up. it will seal. it's a bitch, but a temp fix until u can rip into the problem

That's where I posted mine too. JASonic was actually the one to tell me to check the staples. The rest of the thread was people saying that my pictures weren't working. For it being such a common issue, there really isn't much knowledge on how to fix it.

because when it comes to tops people let professionals do it. kinda like body work and paint

Likewise. All this started happening after the top was replaced.

If someone was riding with me, I would just roll their window up and down a little bit, rather than telling them to close the door by pushing on the window.

True. I never did get a chance to take it back up to see if they could do something about it. I started wasting time and money to fix all the other dumb shit that was going wrong.

i just leave the windows locked and do the button pushing on my side so if i come out one day and it's messed up, its my fault. I feel like crap when my friends accidentally screw something up on my car thats kinda ghetto in the first place.... i can't really bitch at them except to tell them " i told you so" so i just put all fault on me

well i did the top myself with a friend, frame and all. Me and him are ripping the front end of his jeep apart this weekend and fixing it, so maybe when were done we'll roll my car in the garage and see what's what.

i feel so much more comfortable working on my car with an extra set of hands/eye's etc. it makes it easier to look at things differently when it's not just one person making the approach.
