Brake Calipers

Hey again.

I want to upgrade my brake calipers to the nice red Cobra 10th anniversary calipers or nice Brembo's, but that cash is still a way off...

For now, i just want to paint my calipers red.

What do you recommend for a GOOD red paint that wont cost me over 30-40$?

duplicolor caliper paint kit should do for you. You can get one from american muscle or just about any simple auto parts store, I think ive even seen them at walmart at time or two. I dont have an exact price but theyre fairly cheap/within your budget.

Go to autozone or any autoparts store and they sell a little kit for like $26

When it comes time to do a brake upgrade kit, what would you recommend doing?

*Do brembo's with new rotors (really expensive)

*Do the red cobra calipers Ford Racing Red 10th Anniversary Cobra Brake Upgrade Kit (Front Only) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

I've seen just the calipers for the GT, but only in a set of 4 (all wheels).

I can't find the red cobra ones for just the front wheels. Only for the COBRA.

None and put that kinda $$$$ money towards something thats going to make you go faster, but thats besides the point

Most people tend to go for the cobra upgrade. It sounds like a reasonable medium to me. They seem to work great, and dont cost as much as the brembos.

But those are for the cobra only? To have them fit GT you need these?

Beats me someone else will have to answer that for you. I havent looked into any of that stuff at all so I dont have much input since I dont want to give you any info that may not be correct.

Get the Cobra brake upgrade. For the price it's a great upgrade. I wouldn't go as far as the Brembo's.

Yea, the more i look at the brembos (and price), the more i know i wont be on the twisties enough to need them.

ok so maybe not ftw on the bullitt calipers for u :X
NOTE: Direct fitment for Mach1 and Bullitt. All others require Ford Racing Brackets, Hoses, and 13" Rotors

why u want em to say corbra... u dont have one??????????

Is caliper paint for ricers?

it looks good if you choose a good color imho. i painted mine black and it looks a LOT better than when they were unpainted. it's not too flashy but it definitely makes a difference!
