There's a crack in my 'Stang's windshield :/
I think it's coming from the cowl, but im leaning more that someone threw a rock at my car and made a small crack and that crack progressively got worse as I drove my car harder and harder.
I got a quote from two shops in town and they both gave me the same price at 565.95 for the windshield and installation. Any of you guys think i can find a better price? How bout directing me to a site where i can get the windshield cheaper? Any of you guys have a spare windshield!? lolThanks guys. |

Do you have glass coverage under your insurence? Well I should ask if you have full coverage. If you do, you shouldn't pay for it at all. Had my rear window replaced because the rear defroster wasn't working. didn't cost me a dime.

i bought my car with a crack in the windshield, insurance still covered it, lol, just make something up. But yeah i agree with 97cobra, keep shopping. a lot of places will beat others quotes, you can play that one out too.

I went to the shops and asked if they could fix it! They said "the crack is too big to fix now". :/
The crack is about 5 inches long, maybe 6. It's not as bad as the picture crappy_head gave. PLus, I also want to keep that pony emblem on there! ;_; I love Mangoes. |

if you want to keep the "pony" windsheild, good luck finding an oe. one cheap. IMO it's not worth the cost as you could get an aftermarket one (less the pony of course) for probubly 1/3 the cost you mentioned origanally. good luck with the used one also, most likely break at somepoint (coming out/switching over /etc.) not worth it, if you can even find someone to do it that is. junk yard's around here make you pay for the glass first & then take it out your self, with no refunds, & glass shop's (again around here) will not get involved in used glass, period, so you pretty much need to find someone to do it on the side.
