Got new shoes for the stang
I have 17 X 9 FR500 wheels on the front and 17 X 10.5 FR500s on the rear.
I switched out the 275/40/17 BFG KD for 255/40/17 Nitto 555s. The car steers MUCH better now with the smaller tires and doesn't follow every freaking rut in the road like it used to do. I switched out the 315/35/17 BFG KD in the rear with 315/35/17 Nitto 555R drag radials. NOT a night and day difference in traction but it IS better. Hopefully my track launches will be a little better with these. I know there are stickier drag radials available but I wanted to be able to run the same wheels and tires on the street and at the track at this point. I'm only putting down 265rwhp/300rwtq as it stands. QUESTION: The tire place broke one of my lug bolts in the process. I thought I might upgrade these now. What brand would you recommend? |

Good choice on the FR500's as well and Discount Tire broke one of my lug bolts in the process. They had it fixed for free.

Maybe I should get the lug fixed somewhere else and then submit the bill to the place that broke it.
