one last intake question

anyone know how much boost is safe to run through a stock intake manifold without breaking it?i am considering keeping that stock till trickflow comes out i just dont wanna destroy my motor but i am tired of being jerked around by reichard racings horrible customer service. i am going to talk to a couple engine builders tomorrow but just wanted to see what you guys think

I would say somewhere between 5 and 50 psi....

Seriously though, I've been wondering the same thing. This plastic manifold just doesn't look trusworthy.

^^I agree. I have seen many people running 15-20 psi and their intakes held up just fine

edit: it's the nitrous you have to worry about with the plastic intake

9-12 psi would be pusing it, I would not go any higher, I have seen these crack and blow out, not a good thing. If you have the means I would get one of those typhoon intakes or P51 brand.

Just so you guys know.. I know this is an old thread... but on three cars I know personally... 26-28 PSI is where the stock plastic intake starts blowing to pieces...

I was running 16-17 for a little while and about 13 for about 3 years. I have no problem with old threads.
