Limited slip diff?

Does a 2000 mustang gt come with a limited slip differential? if not, what would be the best kind to get?

I believe the GT would have a trac lok which is a clutch type limited slip differential. That should hold up fine for most bolt-on applications.

yes they come with a posi/limited slip/traction lock. All the same stuff that uses clutches and a diaphragm spring. Just different names.

+1 also it is a 28 spline diff. i am about to go to a 31 set up in mine

The cast 28 spline axles are definitely the weak link in the rear. I went with 31 spline Mosers and 31 spline trac lok from an Explorer. That only lasted one season. Will be installing a Detroit truetrac later this month.

just make sure you turn it off before you start burnen rubber
