I would think it would be cheaper to find a Cobra motor and drop it in, I'm sure if you look hard enough you could find a wrecked car with good running gear for short money.

I would look for a Cobra else where in the US. Try ebay. Even if you have to ship it you'll probably come out about the same as buying and installing a Cobra Terminator block.

I guess that was too simple an answer. You know what you got in your car, and what you have done to it. I would really advise you to get together a build plan, price it out and than make a decision. I've been working on my 01 GT for the last year and a half, spent about 24K on it but when I'm done....she will be bad to the bone and run in the low 9s. Best of all I know that she has what it takes to stay together for at least a little while in that environment....Building is not just a "I wanna do it" it is a decision that takes planning and some discipline..... And I really don't recommend major mods for a daily driver, it puts too much pressure on the you and the build.
Just my thoughts W.P.

Get the Cobra. Who needs the extra hassle. If you buy a stock Cobra you know what you have, you don't have to upgrade anything and you can build from there. Makes more sense to me, but I'm not a gear head so I don't like to spend my days under a car. Adding a little something here and a little something there is fine with me, but that's a lot of time and labor you're talking about. The Cobra is good to go off the lot. My $.02.
