how to jack up.


okay i have a 04 gt with upr k member with coilovers and the car is really low and cant get a jack under there, is there any other way to get the car up gotta change my oil lol. and when i get it up alil can i jack up on the chromoly k member with out bending it

The title of this thread is very misleading

You could go in from the side by doing one side at a time and putting it on a jack stand, then move to the other side.

use some,2 by 4's or some 2 by 8's and that should get u up high enough to get a jack under there,

Just look for jacking points on the frame. You might be able to try subframe connectors, but keep an eye on em' as you slowly jack the car up to make sure you don't crush em' (but I don't think you will).

get you a cheap small floor jack like those cheapy gm goodwrench ones at walmart. Jack it up from the side until its high enough to get your big jack under the k member then jack it up using that one.

Yep...that's what I normally do if I don't got my post lift available to do work
