Popping sound

I saw this before about a popping noise coming from the left side under the dash or hood. Someone said some bolts had worked loose somewhere on the steering linkage or control arms or something. Anyone who had this happen know which bolts those were that are prone to that. Mine has gotten a little more frequent so I had better get under and tighten things up.

It usually happens when I turn the wheel far left at slow speeds, or when the weight of the car shifts a bit when going slow. I have never heard the pop going over 20 mph.

Sounds like it is the bushings that hold the rack an pinion to the K-member. You will be fine. Hit them with an impact gun...
