315/35/17
I just picked up some MINT dd bullitts last night (yay) and im looking for some tires, i know that the sumis are probably the cheapest, im not looking to break the bank on tires, i have DR's for the track already, i was just wondering if anyone had any other tire suggestions that are under 150$ a tire?

I was going to get the Sumi's but everyone said they were crap and had no traction so I opted for the Nittos. There aren't many choices period for 315/35/17's.

Nitto. Or. Sumi. Unless you can find something on craigslist.

apparently the sumis actually run small for their size i heard. i dont want to go with a dr of any type bc i dont want to have to replace them after 10-15k miles or so, i guess ill just go with the sumis, pretty much i just need decent cheap rubber to go on their for DD and summer driving.

get sumitomo 315's they would be perfect for the street because they suck, but in a good way. They are fun to get sideways with, they last long taking burnout after burnout, and are real cheap. I think they look pretty good on the car too. if you like to spin your tires they are perfect for you. if you still want a tire that will hook alright on the street they are not.

yes i wouldn't recommend them at all if you wanna hook on the street...however, they hook decent at the track if you warm them up

FWIW, I've had one pair of sumis and the traction really sucked, so bad that my Nitto DR's last just as long or longer. Plus when the Nittos go bald, I pull them off and sell them on eBay for $100/pr, try doing that with bald sumis. (BTW I've gotten a 1.60 on Nittos, I think I'd be luck to get a 2.0 on sumis)

^^^ If you get on it AT ALL in the street, I wouldn't get sumi's. Its nearly impossible to hook on these tires. Think about the rain too. I've heard sumi's are terrible for rain. Is your car really not worth another 100 bucks?
