Funny timing! I just bought this car a few weeks ago because my two sons are certified gearheads at ages 5 and 6. So I bought something for us to play with and bond together - "help Daddy install this" - and get active with them this year in the summer cruise scene.

My eldest son was sick so he was at home the day I bought the car. But if you look closely you can see my youngest peeking out at daddy when I took this pic at the dealership while they were doing the paperwork on the purchase.

I'm doing my part!

I taught my little cousin to spot imports, it's great. She'll go, "Watch out Louie, you have american muscle stalking you".

I'm not kidding.

LMAO, she's Seven and said that when 06 mustang came up on me on 460 I nearly crashed laughing.

The boy loves speed already and the first time I did a donut with him in the car he laughed so hard he nearly pissed himself, then started yelling " DO IT AGAIN DO IT AGAIN". You know the saying The apple doesn't fall far from the tree? well it's true.LMAO

You guys sound like my best friends father before he passed. Die hard Ford man. Wouldn't drive anything else. My first car that I bought with my own money was a '89 Chevy Cavalier. I bought it to his house to show my best friend my new car. I had just washed it and it was all shiny. I pulled into the driveway and his father is outside smoking a cigarette. When I get out he's like, "Is this your new car?" I nodded happlily. He gave it the once over and said, "Nice car. Now get it out of my driveway." I thought he was kidding so I went to walk past him to the house. He stopped me as I tried to go buy and said, "Does that thing say Ford on it?" I just looked at him. "Then get it out of my driveway." From then on every time I came over I had to park on the street in front of the house. Both his sons are just like him. LOL[/code]

His son embarassed a sales man at a dealership a couple months ago. A guy was looking at a 96 or so Cobra and the sales person had no idea what they were talking about. Corey kept cutting him off and correcting him. Eventually the guy stopped asking the salesman questions and was only talking to my friend. The guy asked him if he worked for Ford when he was done. LOL

I forgot about my kids go-cart. I sent the engine off and had a cam put in, valve and head work done, governor removed, header, etc. A friend paced me on his motorcycle - it was at 45 mph and still climbing when I had to brake for the end of the street. I guess I'm living through them, I wanted all that when I was a kid.

My oldest girl (3) loves to ride with me on the weekends I don't work. She always says "let's go fast daddy" and let's out a yell every time we hit a gear- There is nothing better in the world for me.

I completety understand ya'll stories. My 4yr old duaghter always wants to ride in the stang & when she does she always says daddy go fast, & put the top down, even when its cold as hell. This past summer my father in-law (die hard bow-tie guy) purchased a 99 convertible vette & he asked her which car did she want to ride in, & she broke his heart.

Yeah I was a Chevy guy back in the days of the iroc body style. Once they changed the body style they lost me. My fav car is still a black '69 Camaro. Just one day I decided to actually test drive a mustang and I've owned one ever since.

Me too, 64 Chevy II ran low 11s in the late 60s, did several full rolls in a cotton field too; roll cages are a good thing. Than came the Mustang, 67GT with the big 390 in it. A brute right out of the box, hurt many of small bolck Vetts. I just love being considered an under-dog! W>P>
