ipod cable for mach460?

does anyone know where i can find one? what kind of cable am i looking for? any help would be appreciated thanks.

I got one that works great from circuit city a couple months before they closed. I have not seen the same one anywhere else. You have to splice it into the wiring harness at the back of the radio, but it the sound quality is great and it charges your ipod as well.

I've been trying to find the answer to this one for a year. Short of buying a wiring harness, don't think there's just a snazzy cable to hook it up with.

i have JUST the cable...however i bought an pioneer deck and it is supposed to plug into the back of that so idk if itll plug into factory deck? i guess ill see when i finish the install...im not going to be using an ipod so i could sell you it if it would work

There's isn't an iPod cable for the Mach 460. You'd have to hard wire an aux. device into your stereo system.

Cliffnotes : Get a new HU.

Well lefty I have to tell you that your wrong... I can say this because I have the iPod cable to connect my iPod to my mach 460. It is made by axcess.. Go to the electronics forum and you will see the thread. The only thing is if your connecting a new generation touch it does not charge because Apple decided to make It a 5volt charging system. But don't worry you can buy a converter for 20$. I don't have the link here with me.. I will atach it when I get to work tomorrow..... So in short go matrix websit and follow link to axcess website and you will find the cable that connects to the cd changer port in the back of the 460....

Regardless I'd still, at some point in time, upgrade your HU. Because the 460 unit will shit.

3g iphone's have issue's plugging into head units. My head unit has usb ports and it refuses to pick my iphone up. i even tried hooking it up to the headphone jack and it wouldn't work.

I believe that's for the '04 Mach head unit, but I'm sure you can find the '03 one there as well. And actually there are a number of companies out there that make them for the '03 and before. But for some reason, no one makes it for the '04. I JUST found this one used on the registry.. It'll be here tomorrow. I've been looking for a plug and play one for the '04 for a bit now.

however if you want one that charges the ipod to i believe they make one can't find it though.

That is the device u need...... works great.... Plugs right in to the CD Changer port then a power wire and a ground... and ur done. Like I said before though, If u have a new generation Ipod it will not charge it, thanks to Apple.... you will need this adapter witch plugs right in line and all is good...

The CD player in your head unit will work with no issues... No need to buy another head unit.... Unless u wana drop the coin...

Yep I have the AVH-4000. I'm upgrading to the 4100 very soon.
