Mach 460 help

The 460 head unit just takes a shit after awhile.

Yeah I have the MACH1000 in my car and it's messing up just like yours, I'll be listening to it and the face will go blank. Sometimes when I start the car the radio will not turn on at all, but if I give it a good jolt it will come on and the settings need to be re-set. Now it seems to be making a loud thumping sound when I shut it off, sounds like a basketball bouncing off the trunk lid!

Will any head unit work with the 460/1000 systems? I know nothing about car stereo's, don't know if the clarion deck from my Blazer will work or not with the amps.

well the thumping sound is usually associated with ground noise....have someone check the wiring in the back for the power problems with a multimeter.....and yes ur deck will work from ur blazer....just get a dash kit and a wiring harness for mustangs and u'll be all set

I had my Mustang for two weeks, decided the 460 stereo was $hit and bought a new deck at best buy. They just happened to be having a huge sale that day for some reason, so I saved $80 on my unit.
