head lights

my dad doesnt want me to keep the black out covers on my headlights cuz he doesnt think its safe. so i can either take them off and hope the old ones dont look bad or buy new ones from americanmuscle for like 250$. do u think the stockers look ok. they were really streaky before on the outside. is there anything i can use to clean the plastic better?

Projectors aren't rice. People need to stop calling everything they disagree with rice.

You can probably get healight much cheaper on ebay. Your father has a point that the plastic blackout covers do block a lot of the light coming from the headlights. They are illegal in NYS. If you want a cheap way to keep the same look, try looking into tint film. Blocks far less light but still gives your headlights that tinted look.

I disagree. Projectors can look really good on a Stang. Just don't get chrome ones. I'm not into my Stang looking like eveybody elses. If you want it to look original try the projectors. At least you know it won't look like guys on here. LOL

i was actually more interested in a way to take the covers off and make the stock lights look better. cuz i am saving money to have gears installed cuz i have my 4.10's and install kit sitting in my room. but i need the money for the install and my dad doesnt want the covers. thats my problem, the stock lights look as if something ran down the outside and left streaks, and i can feel that there is something rough there but it wont come when i wash the car.

Try goo be gone or something like that. There might have been and adhesive on there. Once you get them clean go over them with a clear coat of wax and a buffer. DO NOT let the buffer sit in one place too long. They should look good after that.
