Evo 9 vs mustang gt

yea so i drive a 99 mustang gt cai pulleys catback, and at school theres a brand new evo with papaer plates (rich punk) but anyway i know his car is in a different class than mine and should destroy me.... but the first day he drove the car to school you could smell the clutch burnin from a mile away so basically what im asking is can i take an evo 9 with a crappy driver? oh and i have an auto

i beat one and I had basically the same setup as you. He did have the bad driver mod. He got off the line but I took by about a car and a half.

but if hes a bad driver you might want to do it from a stand still... having an auto your dig should be better than his crappy launch... once hes rolling thats a fast car...

You will definitely lose. Unless he is a REALLY REALLY shitty driver. I raced an Evo VIII and we are both decent drivers, and he was always a car ahead of me, especially from a 40 mph roll. From a 10 i was closer to him. From a dig i bet it would be dead even, but he gave me some lame reason to not race from a dig cuz it would mess up his AWD or whatever...but it would have been the closest from a dig. So if you wanna race the evo 9, race him from a dig. If you have just a couple bolt ons you are going to get beat. It will be closer from a dig though. Those 9's have more power than the 8's like I raced too.

Go from a dig. Sounds like a bad driver. AWD cars are tricky to launch and is you dont know what your doing you will bogg horribly. Just keep your fingers crossed that he either boggs or misses a gear.

if he knows how to drive his car, you'll get raped from a dig. the AWD Will eat you alive i think your chances are better from a roll startin at the top of 2nd

You cant beat the evo from the jump. Not with stock gearing. Maybe if you had some 4.10s you have some kind of a chance from the gun, but the stock gears are pretty steep and mustangs need a little wheelspin to get a good launch. Id say hopes of winning from a dig, there is none.

From a roll, you dont really have too many advantages. The auto tranny with stock gearing again puts you at a disadvantage. Im doubting you'll beat the evo, but it'w worth a try. I hope you do race him and prove me wrong, but evos are no pushovers...

That sucks. I don't even know what that car looks like, I'll have to google it to see what to look out for. I thought I'd be OK with a Mustang with a big shot of nitrous, cat-back, CAI, and tune... Not king of the street but modded enough to beat average LS1 cars and most all rice... I'm pissed...

Evos are bad ass for imports. If he's rich race him soon, because the only thing you have going for you is that he can't drive and he has no mods. If he learns how to drive that car and starts modding it with daddy's money, that's a wrap!
