best motor oil for a supercharged sohc?
what brand and weight motor oil do you guys suggest for a supercharged 4.6? with my vortech v2 i didnt know if there was an oil that better lubricates the blower?

i would run either mobil or castrol, only 2 oils i personally run. as far as weight, 10-30 is what i run and dont recommend any thicker.

I would for sure go for a synthetic.....Mobil 1 5-20 is my preference but Im sure royal purple etc would be fine

I perfer a dino because it helps eliminte blow by in a boosted engine. I started using it 6 years ago when Tim at MPH was reccomending it for fi motors.

synthetics run a little thinner under heat, thus it's easier for it to get past the rings.

I thought it was the other way around? I thought conventionals got thinner due to break down?

I just run whatever 5w-30 the parts store has onsale and have for 6+ years of being supercharged. The only motor I ever lost had mobil 1 in it. But of course I don't blame it on the oil.
