awesome cruise today.

today i went for a drive to kill some time.. i live in Western Washington and theres a lot of windy back country roads when you start heading to the foothills of Mt. Rainier. i was on a main highway just cruising along when i saw a completely riced out civic pull onto another road. so i followed him and he was driving like and asshole passing cars.. so i got behind him and he stepped on it and started accelerating as fast as he could, so i got in the left lane and flew past him. he slowed down after that cause he felt like a jackass.. i was cruising along at about 70 on this really smooth country road, with my radio off just enjoying the beautiful music coming from my V-8. i kept going until i came up on a 2006 mustang GT, black same color as mine. he was behind a dump truck and as soon as there was a passing zone he flew past the dump truck, so i followed. he kept his foot in it till about 110mph and i followed steadily behind. then the road got windy again and we both had fun cruising around the corners and enjoying our awesome cars. he turned off after about 5 miles of cruising and rolled down his window and gave me a thumbs up as i drove by. the whole way home i thought about how much i appreciate my life, and how lucky i am to be in college and have a payed off Mustang GT at just 20 years of age. i couldn't ask for anything better, i am living the life right now.

That's funny. I went for a ride at about 1:30am last night and my story went nothing like that. I was cruising stereo up, minding my own business. It was about 19 degrees out. I took a exit ramp from I-87 to Alt. Route 7. As the road straightened out my back end decided it wasn't done turning. So now I'm sliding sideways across one lane, now two lanes... After lane three there is nothing but gaurd rail. Luckily at the last possible second the car straightened up. Needless to say it was a much slower ride after that. I wish I had your experience instead of the one I did have. LOL

Sounds like a blast. That's what I miss most about living in Arkansas, all the back roads, and little traffic. There's nothing like that here in Orlando. Too much traffic, and no good roads to cruise on. I really miss it. I'll be back there before I'm done with life though.

What the hell kinda Washington are you living in?! lol j/k ..there are NO good roads for safely speeding around King County - unless you go to Enumclaw/Buckley! We should meet up out there sometime and give it a go (or better yet, Pacific Raceways when they open back up in a couple months)

Very cool, Bob. I sorta have the same experience most every morning. Ever since I bought this car my sons and daughter want me to take them to school instead of mommy. They love it. And I'm grateful for that since I bought the car to enjoy with my kids - they all seem to have the "car crazy" gene their dad has.

First cruise in of the year is tomorrow night, looking forward to it.
