The parts I'm referring to are all on this page: 1999-2004 Ford Mustang Cold Air Intakes, Mustang Intakes at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!
I have a 2002 GT Should I go with the K&N, BBK, or ON-SALE CAI on this page? Whats the advantage of each? Wes

the value of bbk's is entirely aesthetic. aside from the fact that all CAIs are borderline worthless for power BBK one-upped the stupidity like many other manufacturers and made theirs out of chrome polished aluminum. basically the thing only would have made 2-3 HP, but since the metal its made out of just retains heat, thus turning it into a Hot Air Intake, its almost complete worthless. the JLT makes the most sense as far as performance goes, but dont get a CAI expecting to go any faster... i have the BBK and im actually not dissapointed with it. if your gonna buy a pretty meaningless part, might as well get the one that looks cool.

I like the sound they make, and the fact that they CAN give you better MPG.
Find a used one for cheap IMHO. I got a used Iceman intake for my 99 Neon R/T years ago. (It's the only one that isn't a hot air intake for the Neon) It gave me about 10hp. But that's a lot for a car that only comes with 150hp stock. :p With all my little wussy mods I put in it, I MAYBE makes 170. 1998 DODGE NEON RT COUPE REVIEW & MSRP - TheBigLot.com Not the FASTEST cars... but they are FUN!

I got the JLT. I wont lie, It was the biggest one thats why I got it. But hey, pony needs to breathe. I dont see how the other intakes can be close to beneficial with that whimpy sized tubing and little filter?

Here is a cool link
http://www.cartechbooks.com/cartech/...files/7569.pdf "You can probably tell by now thatwe don’t always agree with the aftermar-ket parts manufacturers when it comesto their claims of “instant bolt-on per-formance.” Frankly, when it comes toproduct claims, we have been disap-pointed far more than we have beenpleasantly surprised. This isn’t the casewith mods to the air intake systems. After dyno testing nearly every after-market air cleaner on the planet, we’vefound performance claims to be true " That is of course the Neon. Not the Mustang.

CAI's are a waste of money IMO. Just drop in a K&N and cut the filter housing and take off the silencer

yea for a dd get a shortram jlt or k&n....that metal tubing on the bbk and mac intake kills any performance gains you ever thought you were getting when it gets up to temp
