we have been working on this for a while now & have some updates. now that I have most of the info about this (at first I was thinking holy crap the cai's full of oil) now that i have pictures/more info & know that AC built it I'm not so shure about engine problems (as I stated at the begining, my opinion was based on the info on hand, at the time, & was clear that as more info came out, that could change my opinion) my advice at this point is to get rid of the hose & seperator, then cap off the nipple on the cai & put a small clamp on K&N filter on the nipple on the valve cover. that'll keep the oil out of the cai for now (my car is set up that way & has been for years) & talk to AC & decide where to go from there.

I capped mine and put a PCV filter on and my car wont idle.. I had to revert back to the stock setup.. Why won't my car idle? It just dies when it tries to go to idle..

my car wouldn't idle either when i didn't have the back hose on the plenum connected. I'm not sure if this applies to the one's on the intake.

that would be because you had the hose unplugged that was after the Throttle body. You had the same thing as a vacuum leak if you unhook it after the TB. Computer gets all fucked like "where is all this extra air coming from". I wouldnt think the one on the valve cover to the intake would make a difference on how it idled at all!!

Thats a negative broski I plugged it on my CAI and put the filter on the valve cover and it dies then it tries to go to idle..

Thats might be why people just put a filter but still allow air to move.

it could be because I changed from a 65mm tb and plenum to a 75mm.. It has idled a little funny sense I changed it. Someone told me I needed to maybe adjust my TPS or it would act up like that. Is this the case you think?

when i changed my tb and plenum my car idle went to hell... i ended up having to get it retune for it later when i did my cams. So i just had to wait to install it.
