gas mileage

hey i know this thread has been started many times b4 but i'm just wondering. how many miles do you get to a tank/per gallon? State if your a v6 or v8 and whether it's all highway, mixed, or mainly city.

mine....2001 Mustang GT 5 spd and i average 260 miles/per tank, mainly city...

What do you average?

I've never checked. I just fill her up & go. A full tank will last me for the weekend at most. Its a weekend only car though.

04 V-8. I've only checked it once since I bought it and it was 17.4 city only driving. I haven't had it long and have not made a hwy trip yet.

I'm with vichael1. I don't really keep track. It also depends how you drive. I like the high RPMs and reving my engines at red lights. I'm a bad example for good gas mileage. LOL

Full bolt on '03 Mustang GT w/ 6-speed tranny and I get 27mpg on the hwy but this is due to the extra gear. I get btwn 20 and 22 around town but all I run is supreme or higher.

6th gear ratio for the 6 speed is the same for the final gear ratio for the 5 speed.

i just went on a road trip over the weekend from Milton to Pullman, WA. i went over a mountain pass and through the columbia river basin which might as well be considered a mountain pass because of the elevation drop/gains. i got 26 MPG averaging over 70mph the whole time, with a few sections going about 120mph. i made it there using 12 gallons and its 320 miles. oh yeah its a 2001 GT 5-speed stock.

i didn't read any of the posts but i'll tell you this, when it comes to cars and gas consumption. you gotta pay to play. the more you get on it the more gas you use.the more mods you do to it,the more gas you use.

i worry more about the actual price of the mod b4 i worry about the gas mileage. lol
