New throttle body

I've been looking into buying a new throttle body. They are between $200-$400 for the ones I'm looking at. I'm just wondering how much HP they can create. I've read mixed reviews in different places, some say they do, some say they're not worth the dough. I'll probably get mixed reviews here, but I thought I'd ask anyway

Also, what size I should get (75mm, 78mm etc.)? My stang isn't highly modified at all, just a catback and cai. But I do plan on modifying it more and more if that matters in the size decision.

Wes

go with a 70mm if your not planning on big upgrades, if you plan on going with a blower or something go with a 75 or 78. i did the 78mm bbk combo and i love it great throttle response made a huge difference

Bigger mods (SC) like you're talking about are a for sure thing in the future. But it may be a year from now, just depending. So in that case should I go with the 70mm or would it be alright to go with the 75mm?

What's the stock size? The Q's are directed towards everyone, not just the guy I quoted

If you dont have them, you'd be MUCH happier with a set of 3.73's BIG difference, VS. a slightly noticeable diff... inho.

Yeah, that and a tuner are my next two purchases. I have an automatic though so I'll probably go with 4.10's

get a plenum before a throtle body, or both at the same time. I'd put throttle body towards the end of a mods list.

Ok thanks guys. From what I've got out of this topic, I'm going to do some more modifications before getting a TB. And when I do get it, I'll get the 75mm.

I think order should go something like gears/tuner, midpipe, plenum, suspension/tire, then whatever you want from there.

my throttle body/plenum was the last thing i did on my car. i had the exhuast and blower put on way before that thing, and i finally figured it was time to do it. so i would just wait and get something else, like gears and the tuner.
