I can imagine.

Just remember today next time y'all are buzzin and taking his dad's Vette for a cruise sounds like a good idea. :wink

Probably.

80-82 Vette's are one of my favorite body styles. Not the fastest cars by any stretch but very sexy lines and a great interior. And of course any SBC can be made as fast as you want with very little cash.

But alas, I needed a back seat to have a toy to enjoy with my kids so I got a Mustang... But the next car -

That Vette reminds me of that old 70s movie where that kid makes that, I think it was grey and red, Corvette with the big as cowl hood and he spends the whole movie trying to get it back. I can't remember the name of it, and most of the guys on here are too young to know it even exsisted. LOL

I just found it Corvette Summer (1978) featuring Mark Hammill (Luke Skywalker), And Annie Potts. I know what you're thinking, but in 70s that car was hot! LOL

...And of course thier is the best car from the best car movie ever! If I hit the lottery I will have this car built!

Hard to believe that car was ever cool, but that was the style then. Proves acid flash backs are real...

Remember the van craze?

Being a parent is funny. It makes you realize you didn't get away with shit, most of the time parents KNOW but choose what to make an issue of and what to ignore.

That's a heads up to the teens here.

Which is kind of funny since my parents went out of town all the time, I borrowed the car plenty, and I had friends over all the time... So I've been there/done that and my kids won't be fooling anyone. Just like most every parent...

I'm betting the guy figures out his Vette's been messed with.

It'd be really funny if he called his son in to ask him if he messed with the car. After the kid denies it (of course) the father says, "That's too bad because I thought you fixed it for me. I've been having problems with that damn thing for weeks and now it seems to run great." LOL

his dad hasent said anything yet. and we made sure not to ask for a reciept. whats kinda funny is that the people at autozone kinda new what was up, like, two kids hopping out of another kids car, running in with an ignition module, testing it, buying a new one and runningo out. but yea. im never doing that again.

That's because they were 16 once... Yeah, they knew. The panic on your faces no doubt gave you away. Please stay in your Stang's next time and leave that classic alone!

80 Corvette still had a carb and mechanical fuel pump bolted on the bottom front passenger-side corner of the block.
Oops >.< didn't notice the "80" there
