headers for a automatic
i have a 02 gt auto i want to get some headers i know they make shorty headers for auto,s do they make long tube,s also i have a local shop were i live that will do the install for $300 same shop did my 4.10 gears $200 will the auto benefit any from the headers i already have o/r h-pipe and a custom 2.5 catback with flowmaster super 40 mufflers and 4" tips

any car will benefit from headers...but you'll only be happy with LT's...shorties wont be worth the money

Auto or manual *shouldn't* matter, and +1 on long tubes UNLESS you're in California, which you're not.

also make sure that you get ceramic coated headers, saves you form doing the job all over again in a years time

You will need a shorty midpipe if you go with long tubes or the shop can modify yours....

mac is your best options. bbk doesnt make headers for autos(save your searching time)

Has anyone checked out the Pypes Long tubes? I am trying to do the same for my 2000 GT Convert. It is an automatic. SOme people claim you may have to do some shaving of the DS tranny???
