Exhaust Shipping Prices???

I have a catted Bassani-X pipe that I will be selling soon. I wanted to know if anyone has shipped a pipe before. If so, who did you use to ship, and what was the charge. Ballpark figures are fine.
Thanks

The pipe weighs 25 lbs. Dont know where its going to ship to yet since I havent sold it yet. Thats why I wanted to see if anyone has already done this, they would have a good ballpark figure for me to go by.
Thanks

I have heard to stay away from UPS for odd shaped packages like this due to their higher prices.

Anyone use DHL or someone else?

Do not use DHL trust me i'm a driver for UPS and everyone of my customers hate'em. the trick to shipping pipes and stuff like that is put'em in a box cuz if you ship'em by themselves they will charge you an additional handling cost because stuff like that can't go on the belts. it has to go thru irregs. as long as its not over 6ft long or over 70lbs it should be fine packed good in a box.

oh and honestly coming from someone who's been doin this for 10 years, you get what you pay for.

Gonna be difficult to find a box that fits....this is one piece...

EDIT: Definately NOT going with UPS, they charge a 90lb price of over $120, DHL charges around about 1/2 for a box of the same size.

i'm sure there's small table size boxes it could fit in,and i'm not telling you this cuz i work for ups,i'm telling you this cuz i see the shit first hand. cust. complaints, pkgs that dhl has delivered to the same cust i have, stats that corp. has come up with so i'm just trying to save you some hassle.

ANYthing they ship in a box will be charged by weight and dimensions. unless over 70lbs or 6ft in length or is an irreg. ex. tires, wooden boxes, metal poles.spools of wire. etc

WAVEBYE - I appreciate the info, I dont doubt your experience at all. I may go with UPS since it will be easier to find a drop location.

NECKBONE - The performance was great over the stocker. I just prefer the classic musclecar tone provided by the H. Most folks have a preference one way or the other. Some cant tell the diff, but to those folks I say, Spend more time with your Mustang
