Procharger Install Questions

I bought the system that Navyseabee had been trying to sell forever, and I am going to start putting it on my car. I'm kinda in a pickle since I live about 100 miles from where I usually do work on my car, so I have limited tools and equipment. So I wanted to start putting stuff on that wouldn't affect the drivability of my car and I thought the intercooler would be a good place to start.

So I go to try to put it on, but it doesn't look like the one in the Procharger manual, the tabs are in all the wrong places. It has four tabs, two on the bottom and one on each side. I think the IC's for our cars are supposed to have three tabs on the bottom and one on the top. Do I have the right intercooler for our year of car? I'll try to attach a pic.

Mine had two on the bottom, and one on top. The two on the bottom bolt to the radiator support, and it looks like the intercooler you have will be fine there. The third tab connects to the hood latch support. You don't have that tab, if possible I would drill a hole for a bolt to use the tab on the side along with the two on the bottom.

Well I thought about doing that, but if I try to use the tabs at the bottom and attach them to my radiator support, the inlet on the drivers side is at the top and the outlet on the passenger side is on the bottom. I'm pretty sure this is the opposite of how it's supposed to be. Right?

I might just make some straps or something that bolt to the radiator support and run around front of the intercooler and then attach somewhere up top, then run some long slotted metal from somewhere on the side of the car to the side mounting tabs. Anyone have any other ideas?

Yes. The supercharger head unit sits so that the outlet to the intercooler points slightly down but to the drivers side of the vehicle. The inlet to the intercooler is pointed to the drivers side. My by-pass hose is located just before the intercooler. It comes up and around. My by-pass valve sits just to the passenger side of the head unit. A second hose connect it to the inlet. (Or rather it used to. I have the inlet plugged and I'm now venting to atmosphere.) The outlet then goes into the fenderwell where the MAF sits and back out to the throttle body. I didn't get a chance to look under my car but I don't think the bottom two tabs are hooked to anything.

P.S. The reason I'm venting by-pass to atmosphere is because the by-pass hose that hooked to the inlet once blew off. When I put it back on I tightened the clamp too much and crushed the attach point on the inlet. ProCharger told me it was no big deal and to just vent it to atmosphere. They have an outstanding technical service department.

Eagle, can you take some pics of your new setup now that it vents to the atmosphere. That's how I plan to do mine.

I think I should be good to go on the intercooler. I made some straps out of 1/8" aluminum and it sits there pretty snug. Now I just have to get all the hoses run and figured out, and work on getting my bypass valve and fuel pump in. More questions are sure to come!

Does anyone know where I can get the Gates 27093 fuel line for my GT supercar pump?
