Weird noise?
I installed a amp and sub today just for the beach trip and ever since I installed it I have been getting this odd winning/ high pitch noise from the engine bay. It goes with the rpms, they increase so does it. Anyone had this problem? I wanna know if its bad or not before I drive all the way to the beach.

Did you install a capacitor as well? It might be whining as the alternator generates more electricity. If not, it's possible that it's electromagnetic interference from the alternator. Also, are you hearing the noise over the AM tuner in your car?

did you run your power wire or rca cables near any factory wiring??
if your wires arent insulated enough they will hum/ whine. |
