In dash DVD/CD/MP3/ player

I have a 2003 mustang gt with the mach 1000 stereo system that came with it. Came with 5 amps and 2 subs. Now i just bought this.

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6860.html#

and I was wondering if it is possible to be able to make it work. Or what can be done.

if you can buy a wiring harness for the mach amps to pug into and then tie it into the new HU that might work but i am not sure if they make a kit like that but i am not sure

If i were you i would take that POS back. My first in-dash was a jensen, everything that could go wrong went wrong with it. So I took it back had it replaced with a newer model jensen, and everything happened all over again. It will start with the screen getting stuck, then you volume knob will quit working, then after that the entire unit will take a sh!t. After two units i finally convinced the retailer to upgrade me to a panasonic. I couldnt be happier.

+1 I deal with everything audio, video, and security for auto's and you will have nothing but problems with that. As far as the wiring is concerned whenever we have someone come in with a MACH system we tell them to just rewire the whole car and get new speakers unless you get a premium amp interface but eventually they will go bad.

it doesnt matter how you try to convert it, it will sound like complete muddy ass... running new speaker wire can be done in an matter of two hours (components included) .. its well worth it...

Sell the new stereo on ebay and keep the stock. Who watches TV in a Stang? The car is entertainment enough.

Yes, take it back and get this :

You can buy the wiring harness from Metra to use with the Mach system.

I just took everything out and put 6.5 Zapco Reds in the doors, powered by Alpine amp. With 2 JL Audio 12's in the trunk powered by Rockford Fosgate amp. I bought that pioneer DVD in dash and it sounds incredible. Also coat your trunk with dynamat.

I was looking at that from my drop shipper. I never saw one installed, but was considering it just to be able to burn music DVDs.

only 889.00 is a steal for all that, plus its 6 disc in dash, it fits perfectly in dash too.

oh yea btw when installing aftermarket decks do not use factory ground for the deck in the wiring harness. Ground the wire to the chassis yourself, you could mess up your elec. system. i think this applies on Chevy's too, if anyone cares

03/04 Mustangs are a different animal...2002 and back can be made to work with an aftermarket headunit with the metra adapter...
