P-51 TFS or Hardballr?

Before I install a fogger kit i'm going to upgrade to an aluminum manifold to potentially withstand a nitrous backfire. I'm not worried about hp #s as much as strength. I've done a ton of searching on the P-51, Trick Flow and Hardballr intakes but haven't gotten many definative results. Which one would be best for my application?

In a perfect world....
Just trying to cover my ass. Got a window switch, but after experiencing one backfire, if it happens again I want it to damage the least possible.

The hardballr most of the time is on backorder, trick flow you will loose torque but gain hp from what I've read. So I will go with the p-51 or hardballr,

The problem i've had so far is that there isn't much hard information on anything but the Typhoon intake.

as long as you have your window switch set up right and your rev limiter set right you wont have a problem with a backfire... you need a good 400rpm difference in your limiter and the top of your window...

gonna loose a ton of torque with the p-51 (did I say a ton? I mean a TON) but a very nice intake other wise. if you rig up your nitrous trigger to your clutch switch (so your spraying as soon as you release it) & steepen up your gears, it may work well for you.

have you looked into hogan intakes. the can make you a direct nitrous set up while building your intake.

whats your budget? hagan intakes are not cheap. but the look is awsome.

200 rpm from limiter is enough. i run 200 under mine with no issues at all, that is enough room to keep nitrous from spraying again. you are going to see torque loss with almost any aftermarket intake. if set up and spraying right, you shouldnt have to worry about a backfire.

Do you plan to add some type of FI in the near future?

I agree with Sweet2k. I just said 400 to be on the safe side lol. I have had one pop when my top window was 6k and I had stock limiter on there.

It's been a month from coming out for about 4 years... I've given up hope on it.

I just read about the P51 in mustang5.0 and they loved it. It retailed at $1200 then. If I could get that ebay one for $500 would it be worth the swap?

there have been a bunch of mixed reviews on the p51 from people who have had them. the guys at foxlake "claim" to loose no low end, but they are about retarded as well.

The aluminum intakes will break with a backfire also and they get a lot hotter than the plastic intake. I say keep what you untill you have an issue.
The hardball'r was great, the typhoon is junk and the Edelbrock I like the best.
