dropping tank, cobra hat/pumps install....
Anyone know what is EXACTLY needed to do this.... Ill finally be getting it done tomorrow evening. Ive heard bits and pieces of what is needed but an exact would be nice.
Any pointers on how to get the neck out also. Last time i just let the tank fall to one side. but with the work needed...ima just drop it completely out.

I took the straps off and lowered the left side. Then I had my son pull and wiggle it while I pushed the thing off the neck. It wasn't as easy as it looked. That friggin neck did not want to come out for nothing.

first, get as much fuel out as possible. put jack under tank, loosen straps and unbolt filler neck(may be unnecessary, but I do it anyway)lower enough to unhook lines. then slide tank to left off of filler pipe. worked for me with no hassle and did not have to replace the rubber.

I tried the jack, but I ended up lifting the tank by hand and pulling the jack out to get the tank to drop. Maybe thats where I went wrong. I let the tank drop too much. My rubber was chewed up and fighting against me trying to roll so that could have been the problem, also.
