Modifying the body on a NewEdge..

Has anyone taken off the side vents/hood scoops and replaced them with something that looks a bit more real than the plastic honeycomb vents that are inside them? I've seen people take the plastic out, and add a metal like honeycomb inside it. While it still isn't functional, it looks better than the plastic.

Anyone have any other ideas?

i've also got that material in the side skirts, your car has chrome rims if i remember correct, so i think this would look good on your car.

Ah.. I see. I still want one.

I have a question on that though. I was told you could use your stock hood, but it had to be cut? I find it hard to believe because the shaker is smaller?

Of course I could be wrong. It's known to happen frequently.

Look it up - I think its CDC that makes the kits, there could be others too, just remember seeing the adds in 5.0 mag.

Willy has the shaker kit. I'd just geta shaker off a Mach, and a Mach hood to go with it. They look best that way.

BTW how much gains do shaker hood-scoops give? Is it worth getting one over a CAI? Remember, not planning on ever going FI, and this isn't going to be a track car. Just a nice and fun hobby car that I drive daily. I just wanna be ready if one day some basically stock Fbody messes with me on the road. It's bound to happen.
