How hard is it...

to swap out my stock GT front bumper for a 99-01 cobra bumper?

Anyone have any write up's?

AJM, i'm lookin' at you!!

(yes i already searched on google and youtube 'n stuff)

bumper removal is very easy.

1 remove the "pins" from behind the head lights and remove them.
2 undo the 4 bolts, two on each side that hold the bumper on right in front of the wheels, then remove
If you have fog lights make sure you disconnect those. Install in just the reverse. I think you have to trim the top of the cobra bumper to fit with the GT hood though.

the GT hood comes down lower than the Cobra hood so you need to trim or cut enough off. I havent actually done it myself just what Ive read.

Go to the visual section and there's a sticky on how to remove the panels.

But yeah it's a real easy process.

Do the install and have a dremel handy so if you need trimming you can do it quick.

ajm has been hiding lately. He told me the other day he moved to south dakota to escape the tennessee law. Cops chased him through tn and kentucky but he eventually lost em. something about strangling a fast food worker over mayonaise.

by the way. I didnt have to trim anything for my 03 cobra bumper. I was told i had to but hell, it fit perfect.

That's what everybody says and I've also heard from a few people that they didn't have to do any trimming either.

god i hate it when the fast food workers get the mayo wrong here in texas, and probably every other state. That's probably why he moves from state to state so much b/c of those damn fast food workers and their mayonaise! they're just so strangleable!!!
