So my car is silver and I have a black chin splitter, mach 1 delete, smoked fog and tail lights, 35 anny. honeycomb black panel and black honey comb trim on the truck. I have the SLP LM 1 cackback the tips are 3.5in rolled with with SLP on the tip in the letters. I was wondering if getting the tips powder coated black and the pipe to the tip would look cool and leaving the SLP logo eched in the tip?!

idk man i got sort of the same exterior mods and i wouldnt want to ruin the look of those sexy tips.

i mean just chrome like all the other ones :S...idk if it would hurt the look but maybe not improve it

idk i think he stated what he wants to do pretty well. powder coat the pipes to the tips black on his slp system and leave the slp logo untouched...

i personally think it will look good especially offsetting with the blackout honeycomb rear panel you have. its the little things that make your stang stand out from the rest. i say go for it and post up some pics

Sorry to crash the party, but I don't think I would do it. I think it would make it look like a cheap set of tips that you just slapped on there. I'm a huge fan of black, esp on black and silver cars, but I don't think it would look good. If you do it and it looks awesome, be sure to post up pics so that I look like a dumbass

I'm curious to see how it would turn out. I've gotten past the point of caring what others think about my personal tastes. Some people hate what I've done to my car, others love it. Eh... Whether or not it looks "cheap" is subjective. Personally, I like the dark and angry look. I think black exhaust tips would look quite evil. You'd better post some pics if you do it : )

that's a very interesting idea. never even thought of that. if you do make sure you post pics b/c that sounds like it could be nasty looking. only thing is there's no going back with it.
