I would save up, have my heads worked, and either buy an aftermarket intake, or port my factory to match the flow of the heads. You'll get a lot more form the cams. PM Acmillr, and he can put on the right track as he has been very successful with the 2v engines.

Mellow, I'm surprised you didn't pick up much power with the cams.

Maybe your tune is really on the "safe" side???

you degree the cams so you dont have piston to valve issues. so no fly cutting is needed if you degree them correctly.

If you want sound get a Crower Cam. This is what I would run in an N/A 2v if I didn't get custom bumpsticks from ACmillr.

Crower Cams & Equipment - What's New

Also when you get a chance check out Mofomotorsports.com You can get cams ground by AC through them.

Do I have to get the adjustable cam gears? Im trying to not have to get those, It says the stock ones arent adjustable but does it have to be adjusted, cant I just adjust the timing at the tuner

Nooo. The tuner cannot adjust the timing between the crank and the cams... which is what you are adjusting when you degree the cams in.

Adjustable cam gears are not necessary as you can just grind the tooth (that normally lines it up in a fixed position on the cam) out and manually rotate the cam gear on the cam. The bolt for the cam gear is what holds it in place so there is no issue doing this. The adjustable ones are a lot more convenient however, because they are marked so if you need to move the gear, say 2 degrees, you can move it exactly 2 degrees. It removes a lot of the "guess and check" from the job.

That I don't know, I would contact ACmillr like I suggested. He will set you straight on this.

Yes. But you still want to have the 262s degreed. If you are considering these cams... Seriously consider mine. I have to get rid of them. PM me if interested
