Lagging at WOT

Anyone have ideas of how to get rid of the automatic transmission lag at highway speeds? Or at least cut it down some? Its rediculous that it takes over a second sometimes to kick down.

T56. Actually, just buy a cobra. Have you looked into a shift kit? Can't you mess with those settings in your tuner?

ok well i was in your say stop. we autos have catch up on rolls no doubt. But the shifts is where thats at. tuner and shift kit with a triple disc stall to lock up quick in 2 and 3. An alm driveshaft wont be bad either. When you race on rolls what mph you punchin?

45mph and it takes off like a bat out of hell, some people like to do fly bys at like 55 and thats where i get the lag. Also, ive been thinking about alum driveshaft, but i figured midpipe and catback should come first.

ya my 25 fucking kicks for a stock auto with 4:10s. I have O/D off at all times of racing. BUT if I know I will do over 112 i will leave in on and go into 4th. I have down it once. I did get a tenth better at the track with it on. Idk how that happened. At my 55 it run 3k with O/D off and when punched jumps to 5.5k and shifts at 6k into 3rd and pulls ok till about 85. So cams should fix that

when you're roll racing you just need to punch it a little sooner if you know you're gonna have to downshift. So if you or whoever is racing you is honking 3 times then you need figure out a good time to punch it at instead of punching it at/after the third honk. if you're already in 3rd gear w/ o.d. off then you should be fine when punchin on 3rd honk
