Subframe connectors
So I am looking into ordering either the Steeda or MM subframe connectors for my 2000 GT. Does anyone have a preferance over either brand... I know they are both reputable companies so is it just my personal choice?
My other question is, could any shop do this/is install straight forward or what all will i have to go through? Also is there anything else i should order with the connectors? |

get MM they are probably the best out there.
as far as getting them installed find a shop that you trust to do the install, so you know the welds are legit

I'd go w/Steeda. I've had no complaints with their products or service.
Steeda all the way!!!

personally, i would save a few bucks and go with the upr's. have them on my slow piece and they have done well. just be sure to get the full length ones no matter what brand you get.

I may be biased, but this video shows the unique features of Steeda’s subframe connectors pretty well: SteedaTV** STEEDA Mustang Subframe Connectors
You can also win $200 in Steeda parts if you enter their video contest at steedatv.com |

My bias against Steeda is well known.

Any good muffler shop can install dem just make sure know what they are doing I went 2 to muffler shops and they didn't know what they were and wat they were 4 but they trd to charge me $130 + then I went to a 3rd shop and I asked if they had time to install some subframes on my stang and they said yeah they just asked me what brand they where and I said mm and they said they make great quality parts and it would take lik a hour and 100 buks total ($50 each) so yea I ended up paying less and they knew wat they were doing and they painted where they welded and errthang so just look around for a good muffler shop

Coated has protection against rust, but you have to uncoat where you weld, or you get a weaker bond.
If they're gonna sit for any amount of time before installation, I'd get the coated ones. If you're gonna install them immediately, get the uncoated, and make sure to paint them immediately after installation. Nothin' worse than looking under a car and seeing rusted-to-crap SFCs, hahaha.
