ya know for everyone else out there, even if money is way tight go out and buy the cheap $18.00 set of pads at the parts store and throw them on the unturned rotors.
takes 30 minutes tops. not the best idea but better or at least safer than letting them grind away

That's what both my front brake pads looked like on my Monte Carlo 2 months after I bought it from a dealership that had "put new brakes in it" I was about ready to "brake" my foot off in their ass when they started to grind like that and I tore everything apart and found that there was no pad left and the metal part was fucking up my rotor. Anyway, atleast you'll be able to stop now and not sound like a derailed train skidding to a stop.
